Manchester, New Hampshire (USA) – September 11, 2001 – RCD Components Inc., a leading manufacturer of Resistors, Caps & Coils, and Delay lines has announced the release of their ‘0402’ size multilayer surface mount chip inductor. RCD’s new inductor chip measures only 0.039” long X 0.02” wide, designated MLI0402 (Multi Layer chip Inductor) is amongst the smallest known multilayer inductor in the industry.
RCD understands the need for smaller precision surface mounts, until now the industry was forced to use much larger sizes. We’re now able to offer precision in the smallest inductor sizes, formerly this type was only available in package sizes almost double our new miniature '0402' size.
RCD’s type ‘MLI0402’ offers a performance level equivalent to much larger chips, designed specifically for today’s demanding high frequency applications. Available in a wide inductance range from 1nH to 27nH, and tolerances from 3% to 20% makes this part suitable for almost all applications. Combining RCD’s expertise in the field of ultra-precision resistors, with the latest in automated chip resistor production, enables their pricing to be comparable with competitions larger surface mount inductors. Typical pricing is less than $.035 each in larger production volumes.
